THINK DIFFERENTLY: Buddhism and Meditation for the Modern World
Interested in finding out more about Buddhism and meditation, and learning how it can help with our modern lives? Our four-week course, ‘Think Differently: Buddhism and Meditation for the Modern World’, will give you an introduction to some key Buddhist ideas and will teach you how and why we meditate. Everyone welcome!
The course runs every Saturday for four weeks, starting on 6th November 2021, from 2-4.30pm. We will be in our usual venue, the Friends Meeting House in Letchworth.
The cost is £40 (including a free book), and concessions are available. Please contact us to book as places are limited.
We have now started meeting again in person. We meet on Thursday evenings, all year round, at the Friends Meeting House in Letchworth.
Our evenings start with meditation, including instruction, and is suitable both for those new to Buddhism and meditation and for those with more experience.
We break for tea and a chat around 8:30 and then continue with a discussion around a theme in Buddhism or meditation, until around 9:45. You’re welcome to come for just the first half of the evening or the whole thing.
Events for Regulars:
Regular members of the group are welcome to join one of our ‘Going Deeper’ Saturday afternoons, which happen once a month. These include some meditation, Buddhist study and possibly a puja (a Buddhist ritual)
There are on hold for the time being but will be advertised here once they restart.
We also regularly visit events at the Cambridge Buddhist Centre.
